My first Shih Tzu was named Sony. We didn't even know he was a Shih Tzu, the breeder said he was a Maltese, but I was so curious about the breed I read and read and found the right breed. I suspect Sony was a mix of maltese and Shih Tzu, but I can't be sure after all this time.

A knowledge of some “tricks of the trade” will help cut down on this labor time, especially so in cases of badly matted Shih Tzu coats. The longer the coat of your Shih Tzu, the greater the potential for matting.
