Guide to Owning a Shih Tzu - Teri Soi
Guide to owning a Shih TzuThis is a small but very thorough book on the Shih Tzu.  It was the first book I found on the Shih Tzu breed here in Panama City and I was delighted by the colorful images and the unique opportunity I got for the first time to admire full coated, show quality, Shih Tzu dogs.

There are chapters on the Shih Tzu History, breed standard,  grooming (Some cute images of a Shih Tzu Dog being bathed), puppies and breeding, anatomy

, feeding, toys, shows and general health issues. A definite must for your Shih Tzu library.

Here are some shots taken from the pages of the Spanish Version.

The Shih Tzu : An Owner's Guide to a Happy Healthy Pet
The Shih Tzu : An Owner's Guide to a Happy Healthy PetBeautiful work by Jo Ann White, a renowned figure in the Shih Tzu world.   She breeds and shows Shih Tzu and has written many articles for the AKC Gazette as well as being president of the American Shih Tzu Club.

The book itself is a jewel because of the wonderful and varied pictures of Shih Tzu dogs in all ages and states (short hair, long hair, pre-bath, etc.)

Jo Ann White really understands the Shih Tzu breed and their way of thought and she has been able to arrange the information accordingly.
